I had a Stant #10832 locking cap on mine, it quit locking so I bought a new one same thing some thing in cap housing must wear out because my locking cap clicks, but you can remove it without unlocking it.

Yes that is the part number, it is for a old Crown Vic. Stant is the brand.

 

I don't think my supplied cap from FFR ever clicked..

 

I tried #10832 caps from multiple stores…none of them were any better than the ones I have.

 

Are you saying it does not lock in place when rotated clockwise? If this is the case, I had ame problem. Let me know and I'll two finger type the solution.

Correct, there is no clicking or stopping when it turns. I have to "feel" when it's the tightest and stop on my own. The new ones would make a funny "Grinding" sound but would easily come loose again.
