If I am using 2 turn signal indicator lights(l-R) on the dash (instead of 1)then it seems I do not need the diodes mentioned in some of the diagrams people have posted right???

I'm using a three way toggle, ON-OFF-ON with a left and right indicator light. No diodes.

I'M USING A THREE WAY TOGGLE, ON-OFF-ON, WITH TWO INDICATOR LIGHTS IN THE DASH. BECAUSE I AM USING ALL FOUR REAR LIGHTS FOR BRAKES, AND TWO AND TWO FOR L AND R TURN, I NEEDED TO WIRE IN THE DIODES TO ELIMINATE FEEDBACK.

Dont forget about your hazzards and brake lights. Depending on your circuit layout, it may require them...a diode just allows current to flow in one direction only. It is possible to not use them, it just depends on your circuit layout. Many builders use them because it can reduce thew complexity and amount of wiring required.

The facility to use 4 brake lights/4 turn lights is usually built into the turn signal switch circuitry. How do you keep your brake lights from blinking when not turning and what happens when you step on the brake with the turn signal on?
