You get one resistor, but you really need 2 of them. They go between the IGN+ and signal wire for the speedometer and same for the Tach. There's a diagram posted up somewhere about this......is it in the FAQ?

I knew about using the resistor for the tach, but my kit came with the tach adaptor so I thought it might be for something else.

 

Is the resistor really 5K? I neglected to test resistance across the FF supplied resistor.

The reason I ask is that in my search I've only came across 4.6K. I've been to radio shack, and the maintenance department here at work. That's the closest I've came across.

 

2 10k resistors in parallel makes 5k
radio shack will have 10k
