That's a smokin' deal. David Hodgkins tried to buy the exact same thing from the Superformance dealer in Irvine, CA that had it advertised on e-bay for $350. When he walked in top pick it up the price became $500!! He politely told them they should hang onto it.

Lex,

Got your PM, thanks.

I decided to go another direction after yesterday's fiasco b/c I want to start the engine this weekend. I ordered various parts yesterday and they arrived today.

I did get to inspect the tank and it is VERY nice!

You said it comes with the spacer and mounting hardware??

:)

David, Yea they're all new in the box with the mountind hardware.

Which side does the outlet come out on, passenger or driver's side? I'm looking for one that has the outlet on the driver's side.

302 and 351 are the same. Outlet is on the passanger side.

Received one yesterday

A fantastic piece of workmanship! It came with everything as shown in the first post. The quality is excellent. I did not think I really wanted chrome and would power coat black but I have to say the chrome looks fantastic. I will keep it with the as delivered finish. Even at the new higher price, this is worth the money. I could not have made one this nice for the price.

JT, Looks to me like a good thing to plug. The pipe goes into the tank but I cant tell to where.

Lex, I was thinking the same thing.

I am doing a BB build and have a similar tank, but never understood what this tube was used for. It does not look like an overflow tube, so I would be interested in knowing where or what the heck it goes to. If it is not used, I would like to know a good way to plug it also. Looks like others may be in the same boat...

The small tube on the pressure cap is the overflow tube.

The second tube I have seen plumed to the top of the radiator. A lot of our radiators have a petcock at the top corner to help get air out, and they plum it from there back into the expansion tank. The idea being any air that comes to the top of the radiator can then self escape into the expansion tank.

Thanks Scott,

As mentioned, my radiator also has a high point vent petcock installed in the upper corner of the radiator (driver's side). I guess I never noticed a line connected to that point and routed to anyones expansion tank before. Plumbed this way, I can see how any extraneous air would be able to bleed out of the cooling system each time you shut off the engine.
