Valve cover question

I have done some searches and it appears many have issues with the stock height carb valve covers. I really do not want anymore headaches than needed, so I am trying to order covers that I know will fit without any mods. I had my mind set on the wrinkle black Cobra covers. I do not believe they make a tall version.

Here is my set:
347
Victor Jr heads
Pro Magnum 1.60’s
248/254 @.50 .609 lift

Is it safe to assume I tall valve covers?

Most times if you are running roller rockers,tall covers are needed. I would say yes.Tall covers are needed.

I found tall covers for my 351W at Cobranda.com. They were the only ones that had the cobra covers in a tall version that I could find. They were more pricey then the regular covers, but worked with my roller rockers without any modification. I am not sure if they have them for a 302, but you might check their web site.

Also, is there not some kind of spacer that is sold? Check with Summit or maybe Mike Forte?

I got my Cobra covers from Fortes along with extra thick spacer/gasket setup.They work great on my 392 stroker.
