Proper resistor size for CarbonCannister delete

I found a 10 K OHM resistor at Radio Shack all they had was labeled 10 K OHM, 1/2 watt. Is this OK? I disassembled the plug and soldered the resistor into the pins and my code # 85 continues to show up on my KOEO test. I believe I used the same resistors on the TAB and TAD removal on Evans Build site and I recive no codes.

The resistor info on that web site isn't correct. Some have reported that it works, but others have found that not to be the case.

The correct value resistor is a 75 ohm - 3 watt resistor
