Do you think you will be able to get the car to hook up. With that much rubber I would be afraid of breaking something in the drive train
Those Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires do hook up.

We got a set for a "normal" FFR last month on Griff's project:
The Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires seem to be the best "all around" tire for our traction-limited cars.

Plus Factors
1. They are super sticky
2. They come in a variety of sizes, even sized right 26x10 R15 fronts 26x12R15 rears (effectively 275/50x15)
3. Directional
4. Made is USA
5. Radials
6. DOT for safety
7. Speed rated

Negative Factors
1. Not inexpensive
2. Pickup sand if it is on the pavement
3. Tread pattern not "old school"

Hope this helps.

HIi guys I didnt stop on the cobra but work has been real busy and I havent even been in the garage for 6-8 months. We are looking to have a new home built and this may force me to finish as much as I can before we move, since the new home wont have a garage right away. I may even ask some one close to my home in NJ to maybe pay them to finish it once I have all the structual items finished. If any one would be interested in that please contact me and well talk ,Ill try to be on the forum more often now and thanks for all the great replys I didnt know if I was going to get bashed for the chevy/big wheel thing.

I'd be one of the last guys to suggest a Chevy build, but this thing is sick! I've been dying to see any progress, so please, please...

Okay, never been a chevy fan but GADZOOKS you got an impressive build going on!!!

Hey Earl, I am no expert, but I do have a 3 link in back and it's good, really good, but, when you go over bumps the suspension is going to wander slightly toward the drivers side of the car and possibly rub against the body or the frame on your car. A good fix would be to replace your panhard bar with a Watts Link. You can Google Watts Link and see what I am talking about. But basically it wont allow horizontal movement of your axle in your car and it will not rub. Not a difficult thing to fab up in your stage of build. -John

Holy Schnikes!!!!

That baby's gonna BOOGIE!!!!!

Nice workmanship!!! I love the compartment for the fuel pump/filter etc...

Dragging up a REALLY old thread here, but came across it looking for picture of deep dish wheels.

Has there been any update on this monster? I don't see any more threads from PROFAB but I'd love to see how it turned out. Does anyone have pictures?

Looking at his profile he hasn't been here since early 2013. Send him a pm and see if he responds.
