Do you need an air vent tube inside the fuel filler neck when you extend it. If so, pics please.

Most just remove it. You may loose the ability for the auto shutoff on the pump to work when you are filing up but not a real big deal. Really is your choice.

You do not need to extend it. Just cut the metal pipe without cutting the hose, add the extension. The hose ends up where it ends up. I think it serves a purpose and should not be removed, but it is not critical to function.

I talked to Mark at Breeze and he says the same thing as sgspeed.
Just cut the metal tube and extend it , and leave the inner hose inside it is suppose to help keep the fuel from burping out of the filler.

Thanks guys, but the reason I asked is, there is no hose inside the filler neck, only a metal trough soldered along the length of the neck to allow air to escape up the filler. It had to be cut to separate the halves. I thought it might need a hose added to the length to bridge where the inside metal was cut.

It is not totally necessary, depending on how hard it is to put in the hose you could do it or not.

sgspeed,
We must both be real smart then. I better go write it on the calender because my wife says it doesn't happen that often. :D
