33 Tank woes
The tanks are a PITA to change after the body is on so it's wise to research this now and solve any issues before the body is in the way of a change out.
The primary reason to change the tank is that the FF tank by design sits too high and is too tall for the fill neck to work properly. If your search criteria was fill neck problems or slow fill etc. you should find a lot of complaints about the SLOW filling FF tanks.
The newer version of the FF tank is a little better in some ways but not by much from what I have heard and seen on here. The other reason is that there have been some quality control issues based on the number of leakers that have been posted in the forums but I'm not sure if the newer FF tanks still have that issue. The Boyd tanks have had no quality complaints on here from what I have seen but the Boyd tanks are shaped like the FF tanks so the fill rate is not enough better to buy them just for that reason. I think people are also adding more/bigger vents to the Boyd tank to solve some of the fill problems related to the fill necks flat design. I chose an extreme solution and moved the tank to a different location and had Boyd make me a custom shape for the new spot and solved some storage issues at the same time. See my detail in your other thread.
