Has anyone gone to a shorter shifter on a Mark IV with a Tremec T-5? I think I would like try that. Moving the location of my shifter isn't an option for me, although I think I recall that being possible on a T-5. With that in mind the shift lever would still have to point forward as it should. You mean a shorter shift lever, or an actual tranny short shifter? I have a Hurst short shifter on my T5. Not a big deal to install, and works well with the stock FFR shift lever. It's adjustable too, so you can adjust the throw.

Love my shorty shifter. It’s a B&M short shift on a T5. Shifter handle has been turned around and placed on the passenger side.

I'm using the shifter handle from my '93 donor. It's rotated 180-degrees and falls nicely under my hand.
