Got my QR oil pan back from the powder coater. Turned out nice.

Thanks Mark. The pan is over 10 years old. I painted it with some VHT engine enamel when I had the motor rebuilt in 2013 but most of it peeled off. The car was due for an oil change so thought I would bite the bullet and get it powder-coated while there is still snow on the ground.

I like the Quality Roadster pans, really sturdy, fully baffled with a tray and no side kick-outs so easier to install but still holds 8 quarts. Didn't you use to sell them? Scott

Got it buttoned up. Used some 3M trim adhesive to help hold the Felpro gasket to the block, worked great. Let that set up for an hour and then installed the pan. I was only able to use one of the Snap-Ups in the front cover with the angle I needed to bring the pan up at but was not difficult to get a back bolt started which then held the pan in place while I got all the rest of the bolts installed. Let the pan sit for an hour with the bolts hand tight then came back and torqued to 50% spec. followed by final 96 & 120 inch/lbs. the next day. Hopefully, I've avoided any potential leaks. I tried to follow the QR instructions to the letter. Will know better in a month or so after the snow goes. Scott

looks good. I decided to swap out my oil pump from a high vol to a regular one after I had the engine installed. I used studs at the front and rear main seals areas to help hold the gasket and pan in place while I put the other bolts in. Also placed a dollop of RTV at the corners between the flat and curved sections to ensure good seal even though i was using a one piece gasket.
