Fuel line routing along engine?

Started on tackling the fuel line routing for the Coyote, but I'm not entirely sure I'm doing it right. I have no idea how much clearance is available around the engine.

Here's what I have:

Here's how I'm seeing others done:

So, I'm not sure if I should follow the routing for the second, or if the way I'm currently running it is OK.

Thanks,

Subscribing to this thread, as I am getting ready to do the same task. Sorry I have nothing to add...

I used a similar routing on my coyote with the exception of them running up the footbox wall parallel and close to the frame member going from the 4" main tube to the trans tunnel. I figured that would keep them as far as possible away from the headers. I then wrapped them in heat tubing...

Yours is fine. If I had it to do over again, I would do as Clemson suggests.

After-thought; Hook up to FPR before you install engine if you are going with a Vintage Air AC system; you won't have access to attach the soft lines to the hard fuel lines otherwise. Either that, or make the hard lines terminate low down on the side panel so you can access the connection from under the car. Here's why:

I ended up going with this:

I'm going to pull the lines back off and have the local tubing shop reflare the ends for AN females.... probably take 4 inches off too.

I love the look of the black panels.

Thanks! I think I'm going to have to put something heat reflective on the footboxes (not that you'd be entirely able to see them). I forgot that black is great at absorbing heat. :D

Here's what I used to reflect heat (since then the firewall is done also).
