Covering up your go kart

Ok...so I am just about to do a test fit of the rough body on my finished go kart. Has anyone else had a feeling of regret about covering up all that pretty work with an unfinished, unpainted body until it gets to the paint stage. I really enjoy looking at my nearly 18 months of work and am not sure I will get the same satisfaction while fitting doors, hood etc. I know this is a stage that I have to pass to get to the finished project. Just curious is anyone has had this feeling.

Even though I felt the same way you do, putting the body on the cart made look like a Cobra, and got me in the finishing mood. You might as well get used to it, if you ever want to drive a finished car. Pete

I agree with you 100 percent. Much as I'm happy to make progress, I really love the go cart with all of it's race car patina. I just hate putting the body on every time I have to do it. It covers up all the stuff that I've had so much fun making/installing.
