I used a pour on finish from LOWES. Very thick and it has been very durable. But then it is not like there is a lot of wear and tear on the Dash.

Kpt112 how did the project come out and how is it holding up under UV light?

To be honest I have not had much worry about UV because my car is not finished yet. Here is a quick down and dirty photo of my dash. It would look much better in in the light. I will keep the car in a dark garage most of the time under a tarp.

What I am really having a tough time with is the finish. The dash has a lacqure finish that scratches super easy. If a throwback to the days of wooden dashes in british sports cars of the 60's wood veneer is definitely the way to go. :smile2:

look into the poly urethane type products. They are tough as nails scratch resistant and hold up in UV.
Very nice looking dash I might add.

Thanks kpt112,
I am planning a non car related project. I was just wondering how the product worked for you.
