With 15" wheels, the largest brake that can fit is 12". Wilwood makes a nice brake kit with 12" rotors and 4-piston calipers. Be sure to ask the wheel manufacturer if the wheels you want will clear the calipers. I just spent $1000 on wheels, only to discover they won't fit on my Wilwood 6-piston calipers.

Thanks guys...that's too bad they don't make it anymore...was there a "kit" name for the wilwood's that had the 4-piston calipers and 12" rotors? or is it simply described as 12" rotors w/ 4 piston calipers?

I'm going to guess these run approx. $500-600?

Thanks so much

2FAST4ME,

They're 13" 6 piston Wilwoods. I don't have a pic right now. I'll try and post one tomorrow. They're on the Steeda.com website under Mustang/wheels. They're the 17 x 9" Steeda Ultra-Lite Satin ones. I have about 1/2" clearance between spokes and caliper. The wheels look like 2000 CobraR's.

blue corona,

I didn't know there was such a kit. I'm planning to put Billet Dynalites with 12" rotors (fronts) into Trigo wheels on SN95 spindles. I've carefully measured to see if the setup will work, using my rotors (turned-down Corvette fronts) and calipers inside an actual Trigo S/C. It looks as if it will work, but I need to save every 1/16" I can so there's room for some wheel weights also. In order to save space, I'm (1) narrowing the calipers' aluminum body spacers to reduce the width of the calipers and (2) making up a set of custom adapter plates that allow the calipers to really hug the perimeter of the rotors. The adapter plates can't just bolt onto the SN95s. I'm going to have to weld on some little pedestals, then bolt the plates through onto the spindles. We're in the process of doing the machining now, then I'll have to make up the plates, so it'll be a number of weeks before I can see if everything really fits. I'll try to post photos when they're finished.
