My donor ’88 GT was supposed to have had an engine rebuild within the last 500 miles. After the teardown it appears that the only rebuild was a fresh coat of paint on the engine block.

I am now in the market for a crate engine. Have any of you had experience with “ENGINE FACTORY” (AKA Ford Performance Engines) located somewhere in New Jersey. They advertise on this forum and have what looks to be a nice 350HP long block. I don’t want to get burned twice….so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

I bought my engine from Christian at the engine factory, I am very satisfied it is exactly what I wanted, 351w, 425hp and 415 ft lbs of torque, Russ Thompson also bought his there, mine was a 1 wire hookup, complete down to the oil in it.

I purchased a 351W from them during the sale recently. It was just delivered a week ago and it looks beautiful. The parts are as advertised and they include labels and box ends from all the parts they use to build it. Also included is a video pointing out everything you need to know about hooking it up, break in, etc. If it runs half as good as it looks I have no complaints at all.

Engine factory built my 40 over 351W short block 13k miles ago and it is still running strong. I've hammered it around Pocono Speedway with no problems.

After lot's of debate on what engine to go with I decided on the 427w from engine factory (turnkey) Christian is a super person and knows the FFR's as well as Ford Engines. I am very pleased with the quality, 1 year warranty, and overall performance of the product. The price was a bit high (8k) but the motor came with everything I wanted and all I did was connect 2 wires to my MSD box, install headers, fule line, and starter and turned the key.. vroom vroom

You can go with many variations and cheaper set-ups but good luck finding a similar value that is any easier than that 500 hp .....
