Should have let some of us know, we would have had BEER.
What amazes me about thoses signs, IS, we are supposed to forget it every hundred yards, if there are TWO Bridges. AND UP in your neck of the woods, where BRIDGES REALLY DO FREEZE OFTEN, you guys dont have theses signs.
HOW do do you ever get along with out them.

After you bounce off a couple frozen bridge guardrails you don't need the signs anymore!
I would have put the word out that I was heading down your way, but my dad lives over in Calabash on the coast and it's a few hours over to where you guys live.

That's cause we're such perfessional drivers up here that we don't need to slow down for icy bridges! Want proof, just listen to the traffic reports during the first snowstorm of each Winter.
Reagrding NC, what a great place. Wife and I spent a week on the Banks last year. Couple of nights at Tortugas Lie in Nags Head and we were totally relaxed - read horizontal!! I actually was stranded in Charlotte on 9/11, so I got to see a good bit of the countryside on the looong drive back to Boston.

Did the tourist stuff. RailRoad museum and the Cotton Exchange in Willmington. Took the ferry out of Southport to Fort Fisher. Played a bunch of miniature golf. I meant to check out a GT40 build near Raleigh(sp?) but didn't get the chance.
I want to check out the battleship next time I come down.
We looked at some new houses. Boy, you really get alot for your money down your way!!! We'd like to move down there, but we would have to go more inland, I have an aversion to hurricanes!
