I was lucky enough to drive to Monterey (CA that is) today to visit a couple of my customers (That's what Customer Service Mamagers do), so I decided to take 2510 because it looked like it was gonna be one of those REALLY NICE days. Short sleeve weather when I got there (10am) and proceeded to get warmer and more beautiful as the day progressed. Took one of my customers for a ride....they had the normal big grin the entire time!! Decided just to cruise around Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf, then headed south to Carmel and Point Lobos State Park (gotta be one of the best coastal spots on the West Coast). Was about to pay my fee at the gate when the Ranger said 'don't bother, you're just gonna make the park look that much better, go on in'. He just made a great day that much better.
Then I headed back along the coast to Capitola Beach and Santa Cruz (Millennium Al's digs) and just soaked up the weather. It was just one of those 'man, I've died and gone to heaven' kidda days. Would have been just 'another' day if not for 2510 (now named Chiquita, as in very yellow). Put nearly 200 miles on the odo and it didn't miss a beat. What a GREAT car!!!!!!
