Thanks to two members of the forum, I have found a replacement windshield glass & gaskets for my MKII. Next is to investigate doing it myself. Never done this type of work before, afraid of cracking it.

Is there a video of this process? detailed instructions?

Just looking for as much info as possible before diving in.

Thank you for the video. Indeed, does not look too hard, just the prep and making sure the frame is clean and clear inside. And proper support of the glass. Shaped mover's blankets?

My only question is the lubricating fluid. Can the amount of soap be greater, to assure everything slides freely?

I am getting the new windshield this weekend, and then do the change in the near future.

Update - Frame came apart very easilly, and ready to put back together. I've made notes on all screws and trimming of the gasket, and ready to re-assemble.

Job all done. Just like the video showed, very simple. New glass was almost a little undersized width-wise.

Now to get a new inspection sticker in the Spring.

On to the next Winter job!
