Excellent reading, but now I'm confused. I bought the M2300K brake kit, which comes with SN95 spindles and 2 axles. I also bought the M4006B373 rear end assembly which is complete less axles. The axles from the brake kit fit the rearend and the calipers fit fine, so the parts obviously are meant to be used together. But, apparently there are a few other considerations when choosing wheels, because there are various alternate axles that protrude from the rearend housing by different amounts (I think). Does anyone have info on various axles, like outside-face-to-outside-face measurements that work with certain wheel backsets. I know this ain't rocket science, but I can only buy one set of wheels, so I have to get it right the first time.
