Well I received my Kit today..It is a roadster with some frame mods..I have the spec rear end fuel cell cage,The frontend stiffeners and the lower 2X2 tube on each side of the car under the door like the spec racer..The only problem is I believe they forgot to weld in the plate that goes between the X member for the seats to bolt in....Am I correct should there be a plate there??..Do the spec racers have a plate there??If not how do you mount the seat///Thanks

Its just a small plate towards the front of the foot box between the 3/4 bars. I think its to catch the front outer bolt on the seat.

Yeah..I believe we are talking about the same thing..My question is was it deleted on purpose due to the fact that I have the 2X2 tube like the spec..Well what I need to Is if the spec racers come with it..Or is it deleted..Iknow the angle between the 3/4" tubes changes with the adition of the 2X2..Anyone have a spec racer they can check for me..Thnks

Frame looks good and you are missing a piece compared to the cars I've built. The next I build will have a plate welded in so I can mout the seat more easily.

FFR tells me there is no plate..Since I opted for the 2"X2" under the door like the spec racer..And they tell me they don't install that plate on the spec racers....Since the angle on the cross brace is different...Can anyone confirm this on a spec racer..thanks

The seat does not bolt to the plate anyway so you do not need it. The seat should catch the 4 inch tube 2 times the rear 2 in tube once and the 3/4 tube once on the outer front. NO plate involvement. Cheers Richard.

Like Richard said. I used sliders, and the mounting holes missed the plate

I'm curious as to the cost of the spec racer mods on the fuel cell and extra bars under the door. Do you have pictures of the modifications.

There are pictures of the rear frame mods,2x2 under door mods and the front knee brace and x brace..Hope this helps..Thanks
