I finally got my 3 link that was purchased through the 3 day sale and my excitement was turned to dissapointment as soon as I looked at the box. There was about a 4" square hole in one corner and it was crushed in the same corner. I proceded to open the box expecting the worst. Luckily Factory Five did a good job packing the stuff but the box had been thrown around enough to split the bottom seam of the plastic bag that all of the hardware was packed in. My nuts were spread from one end of the box to the other and with the size of the hole I new some had escaped (Get your mind out of the gutter and come back to the topic). I took inventory and sure enough I was missing some hdwe. I was able to go to the local auto store and replace most of it but I am still missing the steel plate that goes on top of the 2"x3" where the upper link mounts to the frame. I called Facyory Five before they opened and left a meesage and phone # but never got a call back. I'll try again when they are open.

I wish Factory Five would try a different shipper as it is quite obvious that U.P.S doesn't give a damn!!!

Ricky - same exact thing happened to me, down to the bag splitting open and spilling it's contents.

Not sure what I am missing, I didn't really want to itemize everything. I'll try to post a pic today of what I have- I'm sure this has happened to others, and we can compare notes

Actually, FFR should package their products better.

The fact that UPS enjoys playing punt the box through the uprights is no surprise.

There's pictures of all of the components layed out on my website.

The only thing that's not there is the upper link bracket on the frame, as mine came welded on. There's two components to that, the "U" and the top plate, then the two long bolts, washers, and nuts for it. I also didn't take pictures of the AFCO tubes, one is 12" and one is 37" if memory serves.

I have duplicates of most of the 3-link fasteners, due to double shipping and grade 8 replacements. If there's anything you can't find, give a holler and I'll send 'em out.

I received an extra plate if you need it.

My 3-link box was exactly as described above. Hardware bag was split open too, and the bottom of the box was split open. I spent an hour inventorying every last piece and by some miracle, NOTHING was missing!

FFR should pack the structural pieces in another box. As it is now, they use a box big enough for the largest pieces, then throw the rest of the small stuff in, and finally some crumpled brown paper on top. It's a guarantee the box will get destroyed by the time it arrives.

Wow John. You never cease to amaze me. What do your closets look like?
Yes but he's been scribbling on his carpet again (note lower left corner of pic) Wait til his wife finds his signature all over the carpet! :D :D
