I have what I think FFR provides as a turn signal toggle. It is a SPDT on-off-on switch. Should I be using a DPDT on-off-on switch? I have five wires going to the switch. The power wire, the left front and rear, right front and rear turn signal wires. Should I just splice both right side together and both left sides together and hook to the proper terminal or do I get a new switch?

I would just splice them together. I used the tri-states turn signal, and that's how I had to do it.

Works fine. I doubt you'd need a new switch with more connecting points.

Yep, just splice them together. If you want to do the hazards with a toggle you need to run diodes or a DPST on-off switch. I recomend the latter.
Good Luck
