Wondering what folks have done to cover up the big tear drop shaped hole in the trunk lid? Looks like a big hole to only provide access to a coupe wires for the plate light. Have you made a panel out of aluminum and sheet metal screwed or are there other options?

I polished the aluminum, and sprayed truckbed liner in the "hole" It covered the fiberglass "strings". Unless you are really vertically challenged, you really do not see the hole anyway.

If someone can post a pic for me, I'll send them one of mine with an aluminum cover for that area installed.

My painter spayed rock guard on the aluminum and painted the trunklid the same colour underneath as the car, Viper blue :D

That picture is the only one I have at the moment - the car is sleeping in the car capsule right now.

I riveted it around the perimeter, and it looks like it belongs. If I ever need to get back in there, it is pretty simple to drill the rivets out.
