Which driver has the most wins in NASCAR's top level series (now known as Winston Cup) in the modern era (note: the modern era began in 1972)?

For an easy bonus question, who's the all time win leader in the top series?

Hint: The answers for two questions are different.

Stan is correct. I think Stan knows his stuff, because that question didn't come from Jayski. Just a piece of trivia that I knew.

Here's the modern era leaders:
Darrell Waltrip - 84
Dale Earnhardt - 76
Cale Yarborough - 69
Jeff Gordon - 61
Richard Petty - 60

Ok I was half right ;)
I was sure that Richard Petty was the all time leader with Nascar wins. I did look up the information about Darrell Waltrip being the modern day era winner I found it on Nascars website. :D
