I bought a trick flow cam #TFS-51402001 It is 224/232 duration 542/563 lift. The cam card does not tell me the spring requirements it's just blank. Does anybody know what they are? I called crane cams but they are closed.

try comp cams p/n 987-16. 120 on the seat @ 1.800 and 340 over the nose. there are many others out there, but i've used these with good results. basic rule of thumb with a hyd. roller is 120-130# on the seat and 320- 340# over the nose. those basic numbers are also good for you solid flat tappet guys, just remove the inners for break-in(flat tappet).

Rat Fink, I have the same cam in my 347 stroker.
You need the Trick Flow TFS-31400414 springs. They are good to .600 lift. I used the springs that came with the heads ( good to .560 lift) and broke an exh. spring after 200 miles.

Characteristics: Rough idle, strong top-end power. Aftermarket intake, heads, headers, and modified mass airflow required. 3,000-3,500 rpm stall converter and 3.90-4.11 rear axle gears recommended. Best with 10.0:1-11.5:1 compression ratio.
Recommended Valve Springs:
TFS-31400414 with 1.6 ratio rocker arms

I believe the above is the Stage 3 race cam...or part number TFS-51402002. The Stage 2 cam is TFS-51402001. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

My thoughts exactly . . . I'm pretty sure by now (2015) he's got it fixed.
