I'm doing some rough measuring... I don't think the Tri-State heater will fit entirely behind the firewall. In fact, since I'd like to use the main heat duct on the cabin side of the heater, I'm moving it into the engine compartment as far as I can without blocking the side ports.

Also, if you have a newer FFR, watch that vertical dash hoop brace. It effectively blocks the left duct if you don't move the heater box away from it a couple inches. Even at that, I'm not sure how I'm going to get a regular duct tube on it. I may have to fab a duct out of fiberglass to get around that brace. Not sure yet I'm just starting this step.

Wade, I'm about to cut the hole for that cube heater.

Can you see any problem if I move my hole as far right as I can? (looking at it from cabin) I want to make the left heat port usable so the vertical dash brace doesn't block it.

I'm doing this really early in the build, and I don't think I see anything in your pic that I'll interfere with later. Do you agree?

I mounted mine against the hoop brace with the 2" holes in the engine compartment and ran 2" hose to the foot boxes. Front outlet and right side outlet still dump on the passengers side. Works great-foot boxes are always warm even below 30 degrees-and very easy to do.
