I have my engine and trans installed. When I started leveling the intake I noticed that the rear was high. After some further checking the rear of my frame is high do to the315 35 being taller than the 255 40 so I removed all of my temp shims under the trans mount. Now the tail piece, which I have modified,on the trans is setting on the 4" cross tube.I am only 1/8" out across where the carb mounts.
Are the spacers needed for some other reason other than leveling the engine????

I am useing energy sus.engine and trans mnts.Edelbrock perf.intake.and edl carb.

Should I clearance a little more and set the mount direcly on the trans mnt frame??

Suggestions please
TIA Bart

Don't worry about making the manifold level. Most manifolds will be higher in the rear compared to the front.Reason floats get there final ht. adjustment once installed on car. Use the shims for tranny alignment.

Hind Sight,
You are refering to the 2 deg pinion and 6 deg drive shaft angle, correct?
