I used a U Haul car trailer yesterday to haul my chasis back from the painter and found out that I tore off one of my side pipe brackets (good thing my side pipes are out being chromed). Is there a trailer that can be rented that has enough clearance so the hangers are not dragging or worse, torn off? Thanks for your help.

I used a U-Haul car trailer for my chasis also. My tires were wider than my sidepies and I had about 2 inches clearance on each side. I don't know of any other car trailers that you can rent. Pete

The U-Haul trailer is fine if you reduce the angle of attack by either jacking up the front using the integrated trailer jack or by driving the rear wheels of your towing vehicle onto a 2-4" block before you load,
