I would be VERY interested if we could expand the GP to include an enclosed short (18') car trailer. Too many projects going on in my garage to park the Cobra in there.

Bill,
This is a GREAT idea and chance for anyone looking for a trailer! Now, why haven't you asked Mr. Sloan if he wants to be an Official Sponsor!? He will get our official DVSF logo to post that he is a sponsor, his banner on the DVSF website and also all the flyers we send out all over the country. AND, this year, if he wants to, he can attend the DVSF with his trailer(s) to show them off!

DV - If you plan on atteneding, please register at: www.cobras.com

200 Cobras is NOT enough!

I am a trailer dealer. I have a double axle 18" enclosed unit for 4700.00 plus shipping. Can be picked up in PA, Fla or Ind.These are a very well build unit and are availible in your choice of colors and options. They come with a 3 year warranty. Just an option for the guys that want enclosed units.

Bill, when do you plan on placing the order? Does the air deflector come standard, and what bolt pattern are the wheels? Thanks.

Mike
The bolt pattern is Ford, 5-lyg truck wheels. The air deflector is extra, but if we get enough people ordering they may offer a discount. So far, we don't have enough interest.

How about a group purchase on a 24' or 28' enclosed trailer? Any interest? We are getting ready to buy one........

May/chick ffr.....

Get ready to spend, enclosed trailers are worth their weight in gold, new or used! I just bought my 20ftr, and it was around 4g's used. As you can see from Mike's post, the 24-28ftr will buy you a carbon fibre body! ;o)

David and I have been doing a lot of research on new and used ones. We will likely buy a 24' or 28' new aluminum/fiberglass trailer really soon. We trailer very often to race events and the open one is just not an option anymore with David's overnight stays at hotels. Plus, we may have another project on the horizon and will need someplace dry to store one of the cars ;)

Bill,

I looked around for used enclosed trailers and IF you can find a used one they don't go for much less than a new one. They really hold their value. For the Fling, I will rent. I found a place that will rent brand new trailers (20 ft. enclosed). After a few rentals they sell them. Call trailer dealers and ask if they rent. Maybe I just got lucky and found a dealer that does this.

I might buy one later but for DVSF II, it's a rental.

Personally, with the open Roadster, I don't see any point in getting an open trailer. No shelter, no security.

If any one is interested I will do a group purchase on enclosed trailers. The sizes can be mixed as well as the options. We can deliver any
place in the US mainland.
The 18" trailer works good with my Cobra models !!

For those of you thinking enclosed make sure you look at the newer models known as Toy boxes. Room to shower eat and sleep with the car in or out of the trailer. Do a search on toybox at www.traderonline.com As far as open car, open trailer, if they want it they will take it. But out of sight out of mind also comes to mind. Cheers Richard.

Those "toybox" trailers are pretty cool. The dual use concept is awesome; I had never heard of them.

Anyone know how long a "toybox" trailer needs to be to accomodate a Cobra?

I looked at the toy box trailers to sell and am not impressed with the quality of what I saw. They sit higher then a normal enclosed trailer and tow more like a travel trailer.the higher stance makes them top heavey, plus I didn't real like the idea of eating and sleeping in a garage on wheels no matter how much I like my cobra......
