My understanding is that there are only two choices of tires when you have 15" wheels. One is the BFG TA. What's the other? And what about those really cool Goodyears that just have GOODYEAR in big block letters? Are they streetable?

I'm running yokahama avids on my roadster. I have'nt been able to wear them out yet, but I've only got 4,500 miles on them.

The really cool Goodyear tires are non DOT approved. You can use them on the street but will wear quickly so I've been told. If the state you live in has an inspection program then they could zap you with those tires on.

Yep, not so many choices on 15" but I like mine! (Non-roller skate look, just like the Red Cobra! )

I have abused the heck out of my BFG's (black walls out) and at 8,000+ miles they don't have very much wear. You have to get'em hot to leave a black mark!

If you're willing to squeeze some 295s in the back your choice of tires goes way up. With the stock set-up it's a real tight fit but I know of some owners that got them in by reversing the quads. If you have the three link it should be no problem getting 295/50/15s in the back because the quads are gone.

As stated above the Goodyears Eagles with the big letters are best left on the track. Not only are they not Dot rated but when they come up to temperature they pick up every stone or debris that is on the road. You might want to look at the Dunlap GT Qualifiers. I use them for street tires and they seem to work well.

I've got the standard BFG Radial T/A. This setup looks good and clears inside and out w/o mods.
Front: 245/60-15, Rear 275/50-15.

Goodyear Eagle GT II will work, but the rear tire will likely rub since they only available in 60 series.
Front: 235/60-15, Rear 275/60-15.

Pep Boys (don't laugh!) has COBRA lettered tires (by Cooper?) which will work. So does Dunlop (GT Qualifier) and others.

Talk to the guys at discount. They had at least 2 different tires that fit my needs 245/60 front and 295/50 rear. I went with the BFG T/A all 4 delivered $320.

Goodyear Eagle II P295/50R15 105S for $117.00 each with the blackside out and get a yellow tire stick and a white one clean the outline with dematured alcohol and paint inside the letters serrated surface with the yellow, wipe off with clean terry cloth and paint again with the white in the "GOODYEAR" & "EAGLE" only, looks pretty darned good. Letters are not large like the racies but the effect is there. CAUTION these are only rated to 118 or so MPH. but good all around street tire.
