i just remembered a survey a couple months ago about which tires were most used, bf goodrich, then kuhmos, these are the 2 popular ones. kuhmos are kinda cheap, i may buy those , may not take long to burn away the tread, then i'll get something nicer. vince

Those KDWS are supposed to be really sticky and very high quality. The Khumo's are cheaper and they supposedly perform very well. I guess it might depend on how you plan to drive it, how much you want to spend, and what's important to you.

I have the Ford Bullit rims with the stock Gatorback tires - 245's at all four corners. They grip more than enough for the rides I take on the street. A 275 or even a 295 in back wouldn't add that much more traction, but it would look better. The gatorbacks have big voids in the tread design and they grab stones pretty easily. That's one aspect of a new tire I would consider important. Keep the stones from damaging your fenders and run a tighter tread design.

I went with Futura's(made in USA) from Pep Boys on my Coupe 275 40 17's they are Z rated and have a good tread pattern .I have the Khumos on my 5.0 and they are the worst crap tire i've ever owned .The 4 mounted and balanced cost a little over $600.00

Larry,
I sent photos and stats to Bill last week, just for that purpose. I have to credit Greg Riechstadt for helping me with the front rotor hubs and center cap solutions.

If you still want them, I can email them to you too.

I am trying some Cooper Cobras 275 40 17's all around. I don't know how well they will perform but they have an awesome tread pattern and a cool name.

Go with the Kumho's
They stick like glue and look great.

I took tire rack's price print out to a local, "Merchant's tire", and they matched the price.
