I posted this on the "Other" Forum, but realized I didn't here. I know the 2013 rules have already been posted, but what are the thoughts on Main Cap or other rotating part girdles being allowed. They won't offer any performance advantage other that possible better reliability since we are substaining much higher RPM's than in seasons past.

It may help with any possible crank/cap walk, and maybe some push rod wandering.

If going to allow girdles then allowing the old FRPP 302 sportsman block should also be allowed.

Not sure about how legal a 302M (Mexican) would be since this block was available from 87-97 (and thus meets the year range criteria and was available as a replacement block from Ford for Mustangs). As this would give you a little more support.
