My B&B bocy was delivered by Stewart Transport tonight. My son got to see the body for the very first time. Here is his reaction...

The car has rockets

That's absolutely priceless. Make sure you save it for when he orders his own kit!

Absolutely priceless!

When my oldest was just a little guy we were really into water skiing and the kid was in the boat every weekend.

Also I was crewing on a AA/Alcohol Dragster. While babysitting one Wednesday test and tune, I took him with me. As I carried him over to the pit, he took one look at the beautiful "Finch and Ayres" gold and red car and promptly announced loudly in his baby voice: " A BOAT!!!!!"

To this day when my 29 year old gearhead son and I see a nice car, we look at each other and laugh and say "a boat!".

Beautiful memories. Matt

David and Mary,

Hopefully, if everything works out for the two of you, you will have the pleasure of experiencing moments like these yourselves. BTW, I just noticed that Lady FFR Racer is back to Chick FFR Racer. I like both names, but love the fact that you are confident enough to use the name "Chick". Hope all goes well with the sale of the car, and I hope that the video helps add just a little more reinforcement to your decision to sell the SPEC racer. You will build another one someday, and it looks like you will be contributing to the ongoing success of the SPEC series.

Matt just to set you straight. I was on Rt 93 in New Hampshire this summer and going in the opposite direction was a boat going 65 mph. Some fool put a boat on a car frame. I did the double take thing. Ya never know when you are going to be passed buy a boat on a highway.

too cute! How old is your son? Mine is only 3 and will probably be 4 when I get my kit and I do plan on letting him help, to an extent of course. So I'm sure it will take an extra couple of months to repair what he does.

He will be 4 at the end of March. The frame was delivered last December, and he has been helping me with it since then. He was so excited to see the body delivered last night. It does get difficult at times trying to keep him away from some of the items that make me a little nervous, but for the most part everything can be fixed. I am putting this kit together to drive and maybe to take to the track. I am not shooting for any trailer queen awards, so a scratch here or there does not bother me. It is our car, so he gets to help with it.

At first, I was afraid to get involved in the project, thinking it would steal time from him and that my wife would not support it. To my surprise, she supports it, and even supports my wanting to take it to the track. She thinks that there is a lesson for our children to learn if I do take it to the track, and that is there is a place to play, and there is a place to commute.
