Hey I heard somewhere (I'll bet Dave Broden told me) that you shouldn't re-use the old nuts that screw onto the outer CV joint for the IRS.
I've had my hub nut come loose slightly one time and I don't think it did any damage, but it id cause the wheel to have a little slop until I figure it out.

Should I just pick up some new nuts from the dealer to ensure that doesn't happen or does lock tite dothe trick?

Dave's almost always right, but I can't remember if it was him that told me.

Ford does say you should replace them and they need to be torqued to 250 ft/lbs. That said I have 30,000 miles on Red Locktite but since they are so cheap it is worth replacing

I just (2 days ago) picked up a couple at the local Ford dealer. $7.77 ea. but I did it because I ignorantly destroyed the ones in my donor rearend. I would've bought them anyway, seems like cheap enough insurance.
