Where's the best place to buy a new front bearing retainer? Mike Fortes? The one I have has grooves worn all across the top side. Tranny shifts fine, but I'd rather replace this during the build phase.

Yep,I think Mike carries the bearing retainers in both steel and aluminum,but definently buy the steel .

I've got a Summit steel bearing retainer, brand new, I'll sell you for 1/2 the new price. I bought it to install with my McLeod scattershield, having forgotten the tranny already had one! I've lost the receipt, so I can't return it to Summit.
