Hi Matt: You want to keep the cable close up against the driver's footbox wall so that it is away from the Headers. I flattened the bracket on the stock cable and screwed it to the foox box wall. That gave me about 1 1/2 inch clearance from the headers. The cable enters the top of the footbox through that round hole. You will have to cut another 2" hole up there for the EFI cable with the 2 connectors on it to go into the footbox.
