I am planning on using the autometer gauges in my kit. Do I still need the donor speedometer cable?

You can use the donor cable with the autometers by removing the white plastic locking clip and shortening the metal collar enough that the drive cable can engage the back of the speedo. I split the collar and used a hose clamp to secure it to the gage. Alternatively, you can get a new speedo cable (from a Ranger, I think) for $16 taht will screw right on. Richard Oben posted the details on that speedo cable a while back. You should be able to find it in a search, or email him.
