Doesn't look like there'll be a sale on these types of wheels at the end of the month so maybe you guys can help.

I haven't decided whether to stay 4 lug or go 5 lug. The donor has big Lincoln brakes but 4 lugs. I'd like to know the cheapest sources for the Halibrand type wheels. They don't have to look exactly like Halibrands, just close.

32 days and my Cobra arrives!!! :D

JMHO - Team III offers a good comprimise between the classic HB look and a reasonable price. If you go to http://www.etwheels.com/ac/ and click on the "Pricing" link, you'll see they are about $300 direct. Plus, the fitment seems pretty flexible for our application. You may be able to get a better deal from a forum vendor.

I really like Compomotive and PSE but almost $2K for four wheels breaks my piggy bank. I will be going with the Team III wheels and unpolished spinners option ($200) when it's time to order wheels.

This is going to sound a bit wrong but here is my .02..

The wheels are one of the most eye catching items on the car. Not saying they make or break the look but it is a big part of it. I looked at many types of wheels in person and have to say those from FFR just don't cut it. Yes the Compmotive are high priced but the look is great if that is the look you want. Some areas are just not worth going the low price on. If you need to wait use the donors and then get what you really want. To buy mid price units only to switch in the end is going to cost you more in the long run.. Been there done that,,

Ok I have been pushed off my soap box..

jd

Thanks guys for the feedback.

I checked out the Team III wheels, but they only come in 5 lug, so I'm still on the fence about them. They look OK. Not quite as good as Compo's, but OK.

Does PS Engineering have a website? If not, who sells them so I can take a look and see some prices as well.

I was debating on the 4 lug or 5 lug swap, I found a set of ranger axles and drums and did the swap, very simple. and bought a set of lincoln discs for the front and did the swap, also simple, nothing else to change and I ordered the PS Engineering GT40 wheels with polished spinners, One word......AWESOME......It looks great I am glad I switched to the 5 lug.
