...in the first 1000 miles is this a warning that my clutch cable is going to go snap? I think the firstime was the adjuster just seating but the other two?

I am using forte's firewall adjuster and quadrant and a new king cobra clutch

make sure the adjuster isn't screwing itself back in. Mine did that every few hundred miles. I put a hose clamp around the threaded part to stop it from turning in.

If it is not a FORD clutch cable get one. The aftermarket ones will work but not for long with a King Cobra Clutch. Cheers Richard.

Hi,
I have made a cable spacer that installs at the bellhousing. The screw adjuster is then not extended and holds the adjustment much better. On all of my adjusters I put a high friction lubricant that is like a sticky paste. It holds the adjustment well. I do not recommend removing it. All of the companies that copied the firewall adjuster don't use that paste. Please call me if you have any questions.
