Hey Guys! Day 1 Pics are up! We had a great time up until I had to peel off and go home (I have to get ready for Day 2 at 7:30). The weather was gorgeous (sorry Forrest), T-shirts and hats until about 6000 feet. A light shirt went on then.

Here's one of the best:

More up on my site. Just click Events, then click Snake to the Lake 2002. Three pages worth. (Be patient, some of them are big)

Way to go Jonah, the one year I can't go and you go and post pictures before the weekend even gets started :D Why did I ever get started on this landscape project. All I will be thinking about all weekend is all the fun you guys will be having.
PS My kit ships in 2 to 3 weeks and FFR-3002 will be ready for STTL-2003. LOL I just caught the number thing: FFR-3002 will be ready in 2003.
Have fun, Don

I'm sure the STTL gang are still out enjoying a long weekend. I'll refrain from posting my pictures, as they would most likely be duplicates of Velocity and others. I do have a picture that I'm sure nobody else took, that I'll post. We were about at the half way point of the ride (empire mine), looking for a place to eat. Two deli's we stopped at weren't serving lunch, which was kind of odd, since it was noon on a Saturday. This guy with the fiberglass body in the back of his trailer was in the parking lot of the deli. He had no idea what it was, but was going to make it into a car. Everyone's best guess was that it is a Lister.

Wow, what fun!!!!! Just got home, the drive down highway 88 was one of the BEST I've ever done.

Forrest, sorry you missed it and really don't mean to rub it it but what GREAT weather again this year.

73 at the dinner with enough raffle prizes for everyone, thanks Finish Line, FFR, Mr.potatohead, Larry and Diane Cornish and anyone else I missed for the donations. I know there was money raised for the Jenny Smith Fund thanks to Larry Davi(mr Potatohead)and the sale of his F Troop T shirts and some other kind folks, thank you all.

Thanks to everyone for putting this on, next years is already in the works, so stay tuned we need to get the rooms lined up very soon if we want to stay at the lake.
Thanks to Press, Jonnah, Len, Matt and all who helped.
Plenty more pics to follow.

Thanks to Jonah, Press, Larry, Matt and Len for doing all the legwork so that we could have a great time. It came off great. Saw old friends, met new ones. Great cars, great scenery, good food (especially the beef tongue...yum yum) and absolutly great weather. Truely hard to beat.

Tongue! What the heck was that stuff anyway??? I was hoofin' all day after that meal. I couldn't get by a pasture without having to graze, I mean gaze a little. Just when I thought everything was o.k., I dropped my cud! Damn stuff, always getting caught under my tongue. Everywhere we went, I wanted to swat flies with my tail, and I don't even have one!

Definition is: "A tongue of an animal, as a cow, used as food". Well "bite my tongue" on that one! Can't say we didn't have a little "tongue and cheek" goin' on either. I even swapped a little tongue myself!

Oh yeah, I'll post my pictures tonight. And as a reminder, anyone who took video, send me a copy (you'll get it back) and I'll put it all together.

It was great to see everybody again. Iam so glad we tagged along, this was a wonderful time for me and my wife. We both would like to thank the Bordens for their hospitality. I couldn't believe the altitude(8,500ft) we were running at. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. By the way we didn't get lost we just went on our own cruise (almost) around the lake. Thanks again for inviting us we had a great time

Wow!

What's the formula for a great 2-3 day weekend?

Perfect weather, breath taking scenery, great food
(I even had some of the tongue stew)7 shots of tequilla which explains the tongue stew, a whole mess of Cobras and about 70ish of greatest friends on the face of the planet.

Everyone who put this event together really went out of thier way to make Snakes...a super event. We all want to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle and those of you who gave unselfishly to Team Jenny.

We managed to make a few bucks on the sale of "F-Troop T-shirts" and had a couple extra bucks left over from the banquet dinner, picked up some cash for the perpetual Goodyear Banner Trophy and special thanks to those who popped cash donations.

In the next few days I'll drop a letter and a little size 6 "F-Troop T-shirt for Jenny along with a check for the proceeds.

Thanks again! See ya next year.
