I am using North Race Car's brackets on my solid axle rear end to go to Cobra brakes. Everything fits fine except for the rotors not centering on my Ranger/Aerostar axles. Does anyone make a spacer that can be tack welded onto the axle to center the rotor? The donor axle center is just a little too small. I know others have had this problem. I can't be the first. Thanks.

Someone here had some small rings that centered the rotor on the axle. I got a set but now I can't remember who made them. Prior to that I used O-rings and they worked fine.

had the same problem, I went to the parts store and bought stainless steel thin flat washers and shimmed the caliper out until the rotor was centered. each side was different

Different problem. I don't think he's that far along yet.

Mitch,
A guy I kart race with is a machinist. He's making us some. I'll let you know how it works out. I'm sure I can get him to make some for you, too. Dave Moredock had the same problem, but he said he used some alum. tubing cut down to fit in the countersink on his wheels.

Right oldguy, with a little grinding on the mounting bracket that fits the rotor just fine. My problem is the slop in the center of the rotor. The opening in the rotor is just a little bigger that the hub part of the axle therefore it can wobble around if you don't get it centered. I may try the o ring solution but a machined ring (spacer) would be nice.
