I’ve wanted a racing style seat for a while, now that I take the car to the track I want a headrest. But I didn’t want to drop serious coin on a racing seat without trying one out first.

Last night I found these seats at Princess Auto, $149.99 each. I bought one for the drivers side and I’ll try it out this weekend at track day.

Princess Auto has alittle of everything.
I buy a lot of 12v lights and switches there. Some of the tools are very good. They have an in-house hydraulic shop that can make custom hoses. And a friend bought a mini bike there for the pits.
best find for me was a 8’ inflatable wine bottle for the pool 😂

I’ve lifted this seat in and out of the car at least 50 times! I’m finally done and satisfied with the mounting.
It was like goldilocks and the 3 bears. I built 3 seat mounts.
First one was too far forward and my arms were all scrunched up,
Second one was too high and my let’s touched the bottom of the steering wheel,
Third one was just right!

I can report that the seat worked great!
It was comfortable enough and held me in place even when I spun out in turn 7.
