I have a touque wrench that has scales in inch lbs. I don't know of anything that is touqued in inch lbs, just foot lbs. Is there a way I can convert inch lb readings to foot lb readings so I can use this wrench? If I were to guess I would add 12 inch lbs to = each foot lb, but I want to know for sure. Thanks-John

If you find torque specs that list newton meters as well as foot lbs, your inch pound torque wrench probably has a newton meter scale also. I use my inch pound torque wrench all the time.

12" lbs equals 1 ft lb.

Often torque wrench with readings in pound inch are for lower torque values. You'll probably need a bigger torque wrench that measures in pound foot, anyway.
