Any info on the product packaging re clean up? Maybe mineral spirits?

Try isopropyl alcohol. Blot with a cloth and add some heat.
Make sure the carpet is colorfast before hitting the spot with any solvents. FFR carpet is not generally top of the line.

Your local hardware store probably has Silicone Remover in the same area as the silicone. Test it on a scrap piece of carpet.

Dilute acetic acid (vinegar) is often a cure for removal of rogue silicone sealant. As has been mentioned, test on a scrap piece before committing.

I removed a small spot of silicone with very small amount of mineral spirits I applied to a rag. Rubbed it off in a few passes. I didn't see any carpet color come up in the rag and no obvious sign of discoloring on the area I cleaned.
