Just wondering, I'm cleaning out the garage and would like to get the big stinkin' rusty drive shaft outta here. Im using a regular old T-5 and IRS will the stock measurement in the book be all I need ?

I am building the same set up as you, Gasser. Definitelly get the drive shaft shortened and put it on the transmission before mounting the engine. I put my engine in today and did so without the driveshaft in place. I then could not get the driveshaft to go in without re-hoisting the engine.

BTW, the dimensions in the build book are perfect for the IRS set up.

Did mine after engine install, no problems what so ever. 10.5 drive shaft.
