I was a little out of order, painted body's already on. Thanks to Mike (the builder), it started the first time without any leaks, so far : )

I'll second what has already been said and add "nice gauge layout". Looking and sounding good. What are you using for an exhaust set-up?

Thanks guys for the responses.

I'm running 4 into 4 headers

I took the side pipes to a very good muffler shop in town and had quieter glass packs welded in. Same inside diameter, same flow, just more packing. They're industrial inserts made by Allied. They are designed for commercial use in areas where niose reduction is required. The shop told me these would also last much longer than the ones it came with.

The inserts were only about $75 each. Total with labor was only around $200.

So you never started it until the body was on?
Looks and sounds great.

Yes, the painter was done before the builder got to that point : )

The motor did run in my '93 GT so we had that going for us.

Thank you guys : )

Me happy!

Tom, it takes a lot of guts (and patience) to do your first start after paint, but who can argue with success? Sounds and looks great! Congratulations.

Patrick,

They were made by Allied. I don't know the part number but they were pretty close to the same size as the FFR mufflers.

Here's where I went:
