It is the aluminum shell with the snap on leather (ish) cover. Does that help at all?

I will have to get them as low and far back as I can too. I am 6'3" and need as much room as possible. I am not sure the ones I have FFR supplied seats would bolt to the floor very well.

After trying a number of seats in my Coupe I ended up using a 17 inch Kirkey pro street drag seat on the drivers side and a 16 inch version on the passenger side. Since I'm long waised I had to mount the seat to the floor in order to wear a helmet for Auto-X. I got a set of aluminum L shaped seat monts from Jegs. These have a number of holes in them to attach the seat for proper angle and mount solid to the floor and the sides of the seat. I turned the bottom part of the "L" shape under the seat and was able to tuck both seats a liitle further back by doing this. I tried the Kirkey road race seat in my car but found it a bit difficult to get in and out due to the shoulder bolsters.

I picked up some free breeze brackets that lay the seat back around 7 degrees. It killed the leg and knee room. Took the drivers back out and much better.

My set-up is identical to Cone Basher's.
The other alternative is to make your own, either fiberglass or aluminum.
I guess people were smaller in the 60's ! The helmets were certainly thinner.

I'll add this if it helps. After climbing in and out of my Coupe for a couple of years (plus sized guy 240 lb) the aluminum under the seat developed a crack due to the flexing and I removed the seat and installed a 3/16 steel plate cut to the profile that covered the bottom of the seat mounts. I bolted this to the floor to absorb the flex and distribute the load under the seat brackets then bolted the seat in it's original holes to plate.
The flloor under the seat is a bit thin for this load and if you use the "L" shaped mounts they have to attach to this as they are outside the rectangular panel that comes with the frame. For extra security you might be able to run bolts throught the bottom of the seat and use this as another seat anchor point but I did not do that.

Hi Cone Basher. Would you have the part number from Jegs of the brackets you purchased and maybe a picture of two of the way you used them?
Any help you can offer would be appreciated. I looked at both the Jeg's and Summit websites and did not see anything that jumped out at me as usable.

The fiber glass low back seats?
If yes, the seat base has a metal plate bonded in.
1) Figure out where you want the 4 bolt holes to be in the base. Make sure a 1/8" drill bit chucked long in a drill will drill from the bottom into and through the inner shell. You can use a larger guide hole but no larger then your hole saw guide bit.
2) Drill a small guide hole through the base up in through the inner shell. The guide hole is used to hole saw a hole in the inner shell to insert the bolt and washer into lower base plate.
3) Drill base plate hole to size of bolt.
4) Use some tape to lightly hold bolt and washer to socket and insert into set and bolt into place.

Airspeed: The JEGS part number that I have in an older catalog is 555-70227 $39.99. You can trey this part number on their web site or call 1-800-345-4545 and they will mail you a catalog. I do not own a digital camera so I can't post any pics. The install is easy to do just turn the "L" shape of the bracket so that it faces under the seat.

Since we are on the topic of seats, will your aftermarket Cobra brand racing seats fit in the coupe? I have wider hips (38" waist) and I have to wedge into the Narrow bottomed racing seats which isn't the most comfortable thing to do on a long track day.
