I cannot confirm this to be accurate, but have no reason to believe it is not factual.
Sorry to read this.
I am sure the involved were fellow enthusiast, we probably know.

I will see if I can copy and print, sorry for my missing that.
Horrible accident on Long Island today as an AC Cobra going to a car gathering went out of control, drove into a cable guard rail system, cable went over top of car and decapitated a husband and wife. Authorities are speculating that the husband had a medical incident causing crash.
Those cable systems are very dangerous but are cheaper than conventional ones.

This picture was also posted in the thread. I think Long Island, New York.

I do not want to imply this is the car involved in the accident, as I am just forwarding a post, OFF the INTERNET.

Hate cable barriers. Nearly got one of the guys here. Looks like a SPF. Condolences to the family.
The picture is the car that was in the crash, couple from Smithtown NY, as follows:
Danial Fabrizio and Dianne Seghposs, both 58 years old. Very sad situation.

I saw the aftermath of cable barriers with a viper a few yrs back. sheared off the windshield and there was a white tarp over the cockpit w/ ambulance already gone by the time i drove by.
looking at the skid marks, the drive lost control on an on-ramp and likely slid sideways into the median.
This is local to me,I’m there just about every sun morning. This is horrible what happened and a lot of speculation On the details.
The license plate reads, SO 427. Probably denoting a 427 side oiler.
Definitely enough power to get into trouble, sad and bad, regardless.
Was a 427 side oiler, driver was not reckless and had car under control until someone walked out in the road in front of him and he swerved to not him and that’s when lost control.there was a video taken by someone that was sent to authorities to prove it. Very sad indeed But everyone seems to be saying he was driving reckless and that was not the case. I was not there, but I did see video And it’s pretty clear what happened.
The ERA site claimed it to be one of theirs. A shame regardless.

So sad, what a tragedy.

It is also unfortunate that people jump to conclusions such as dangerous driving without finding out the actual facts.

If you are referring to my post about the power, it was not my intent to insinuate power caused the wreck.
The original post, I got from a sporting clays site, stated the cause may have been by a health issue.
Being local to the area, he provided what information was available at the time.
I find it a tragic event and casting blame in any direction cannot undo it.
