At idle by the engine sound the engine was less than 1,000 rpm. The S/W tach indicated 1,100 to 1,200 rpm. When reving engine this tach was slow to respond. What's up here???

Simple, the SW stuff is just not very good. Mine is off even more at high RPM's.

I will be at idle sometimes and the tach says 2000 till I tap the glass and the needle drops

Went Auto Meter in the coupe.
